b.good was in the process of restoring an abandoned farm on Long Island in Boston Harbor, where volunteers and team members would work together to plant crops that would then be harvested and donated. They had also partnered with a summer camp so that at-risk youth could learn how to grow healthy food. An amazing idea, they just needed help getting people involved.
But there was a problem. The farm wasn’t quite a farm yet…no irrigation, no plants. Just dirt. We were challenged with finding a way to get people excited about spending the day on Hannah Farm when there was no actual farm to show. So we took the ferry out to Boston Harbor one hot summer day. We captured stills and drone footage of the land as it stood, then used animation and hand drawn illustrations to bring b.good’s vision to life.
We turned those assets into social videos and beautiful in store posters, to pique the interest of potential volunteers. Before long, the Hannah Farm was in full swing and giving back in so many ways. That year, they grew 12,300 pounds of produce and donated 75% of it to people who needed fresh healthy food. All the feels.
